Q: What exactly is appazaar doing?
A: appazaar is logging different kind of data on your phone and trying to create a situation profile. This profile is not linked to you as a person but to the context you are in and what applications are used in this context. So if another person gets into a similar situation, appazaar is recommending applications that were used in that situation before by other users.

Q: What kind of data do you log?
A: Currently we are logging the applications you are using and where you are using them. In the future we intend to give you the option to chose context tags to describe your situation. appazaar make these information anonymous and then sending them to the server.

Q: What do you do with the data on the server?
A: The data we log is used as the base for our recommendation system. So we analyze it and try to create a recommendation for other users out of it.

Q: What if I don’t want to be part of all this anymore?
A: In that case you just have to uninstall the application.
